 | S129 Four Hearts Hardanger Sampler
This sampler is very traditionally Norweigan with its white-on-white stitching. It would make a lovely engagement, wedding or anniversary gift or a very special house-warming present.
The fabric is white Hardanger, approximately 16" by 16" (40 by 40 cm). The embroidery is white Perle cotton. The stitches used are Kloster blocks, double band stitch, four sided stitch (also called double running stitch), satin stitch, eyelets and needleweaving with dove's eye filling stitch.
The finished size of the stitched area is approximately 7.5" by 9.5" (19cm by 24 cm).

Spring and Autumn are stitched on ecru (natural) and Summer and Winter on antique white Hardanger fabric. The piece of fabric is approximately 16" by 20" (40 by 50 cm) to allow plenty of space for a mount to be used inside the frame.
