| There is nothing nicer than receiving a card that has been stitched especially for you.
They are ideal beginner's projects. All the cards measure 4" by 6" (10.5 by 15 cm) and have either a deckle cut edge or a gold line round the aperture. The four Christmas designs also have the words 'Merry Christmas' printed in gold below the aperture. (The 'Stars' design is printed in holographic silver instead of gold.) The new Congratulations cards come in three colourways with the word 'Congratulations' printed in silver.
C010 Heart, C011 Cross and C012 Diamond are stitched on evenweave linen, the rest on Hardanger fabric. Except for the Christmas and Congratulations designs which come in the colourway shown, the rest are available in several colours of Perle Multicolour cotton with white used for the simple needleweaving in the centre. To order a colour, state whether your preference is for pale blue, dark blue, pink, green, amber, gold, turquoise, lilac or pastel mixed variegated thread.
The stitches used typically are Kloster blocks and very simple needleweaving, along with possibly eyelets, single or double band stitch (also called cable stitch).
The finished size of the stitched area is approximately 2" to 2.75" (5 to 7 cm) depending on the design.
